Vance stood in front of the convienent store, munching on some Munchies. It was his favorite snack and he never went a week without it. It was a very odd craving of his. He laughed at the thought and eventually finished the bag.
He sighed, sadly, wishing he had some more money to get another bag but he had no job and was broke than ever. Vance walked away from the store and headed over to a small yard where they kept benches. He sat on one, wondering if he would find anyone around his age or see anyone that looked familiar. Maybe even a werewolf to mess with, that was always fun.

Desiree was walking along the side of the road just walking, it was a bit windy so she wore a jacket over a plain shirt, skinny jeans and boots. Her hair was blowing in the wind and she muttered to herself as she continued to walk. Living with her mother was hell now a days so that's why she didn't like being home, she would always find an excuse to leave the house it was better then staying home.
She looked up ahead and saw the gas station, she didn't see anyone she knew and walked passed it and seeing a few benches to sit on. Desiree looked to see a guy around her age, she hadn't met him yet and she was always up to meeting new people. With a smiled on her face she approached him "Mind if I sit?" She asked pointing to the bench.

Vance returned the smile with his own pearly whites, he nodded to the bench. "Go ahead...nothing is stopping ya." He told her, still smiling lightly. He took a light sniff and already knew she was human. Vampires could smell what you were. He looked at her, turning to face her a bit.
"I'm Vance Patience. Your name would be?" Vance asked her, looking around before his eyes returned back to her.

Putting her hands in the pockets of her jacket she sat down and smiled at him "Thanks" she muttered as she looked to the road seeing a few cars pass by and turned back to look at him "Nice to meet you Vance name's Desiree Collins" she smiled. He was really cute she had to admit and wondered if she'd seen him in school, well she would have remembered seeing him. "So what are you doing out by the gas station Vance?" She asked raising her eyebrow playfully.

"Nothing much. Just roaming around. You know?" Vance wasn't new to the place, he just didn't go to school. His sister did and that's usually how people knew him but that was about it. "Just searching for something to do." He told her, looking at her.
She's a cute, pretty black hair and some really nice eyes, Vance thought, the boyish nature of him taking over.

Desiree nodded that is what she was doing now, and avoiding going back home while her mother was there. She glared at the floor but then looked up at him "There is nothing to do in this town. No offence" she added not to get him upset if he lived here his whole life, she did that one time and never again. She sighed why couldn't she have stayed back home with her father

"None taken. I get where your coming from." Vance had never found anything in all his time of living here to do. He was usually inside but today he felt like taking a walk. It seemed like he was getting more and more like Valeria and he didn't like that.
"I'll probably go and catch a movie later. By myself of course...cause you know ain't got nobody to go with." Vance laughed, as he was hinting at the girl, he didn't want to seem so forward. He was only making a friend.

She nodded she hadn't been so bored in her life up till she moved here, sure she had her laptop and ipod but she hardly knew most of the kids here and well Max was more outgoing then she was, he was probably out skate boarding or doing god knows what.
Desiree smiled at him "Well why don't I go with you it's not like I have anywhere to be" she laughed. It was true and well getting home later was better for her, her mother would be sleeping and therefore no nagging or arguing.

Vance smiled as he already found somebody to go out with. He had been up in the house this whole week, helping his dad as he had been injured in a battle with a werewolf and was still recovering. "Should we go now and see what is playing?" Vance asked her, this would be his first time going to the movies.

Desiree nodded and smiled at him, she hadn't even been in town for long and she already had a date how quaint he was very cute on top of it. "Yeah sounds good" she said she wondered if there were any good movies playing but nothing came to mind, oh well guess they would have to go and see.

Vance stood up off the bench, he waited for her to get up before going to walk off. "Let's go see together, shall we?" He asked her, giving a handsome smile with his pearly whites. "We have nothing better to do?" He wondered if he should take this as a date, did she have a boyfriend?

Desiree got up after he stood up and smiled. "Yeah we don't have anything better to do" she laughed. She followed him as they walked, the movie theater wasn't very far from where they were she looked back to him "So Vance have any siblings?" She asked just trying to make small talk.

"Yes, I have a twin sister named Valeria." He told her, wondering if Desiree knew her. "She's it. I don't think my parents want anymore. Two mini vam-...destructive brats are enough for them." Vance shook his head as he had almost said vampire, he wasn't ready to tell her yet in fear that she would run away from him. He looked at her, hoping she hadn't noticed. "Do you have any siblings?" Maybe she didn't notice and maybe she could just go on to answer his question.

Desiree nodded as she listened she had two older brothers and they were twins, they sometimes were a pain in the ass. She turned her head sharply as she thought she heard him about to say vampires, she looked away from him afraid he could see the fear in her eyes, that night at the park she hadn't told anyone about it, scared that the vampire might actually come find her to kill her. She gulped before answering "I have a younger brother named Max and two older brothers" she said in a low tone.

Vance had scared her, he looked down into her eyes. He wanted to apologize but he couldn't do because she would know his secret. "Oh...that's cool." He tried to sound cheery but it wasn't working. He decided to ask her some serious questions before he could actually begin to tell her. "Have you heard about the vampires and werewolf problem?" He didn't like calling it a problem because it wasn't a problem.
