Artemis was sitting at a small table in the corner farthest from the door. From there she could watch the whole shop; see the people coming in, the students serving and the customers sitting at their tables and chatting. She sighed and swirled her undrunk mocha. She was always alone. After all, she was a killer. Who in their right mind would want to be with here once they knew what she was? No one, that's who. She put the cup down and leaned back in the chair, crossing her legs beneath the table.

Axel was walking down the street he didn't feel like going into the diner and chatting, he wasn't in the mood to chat. He was wearing his usual outfit, black shirt dark wash jeans and beat up old converse. He ran a hand through his shaggy black hair before opening the door, he hated coffee but he always came here for the hot chocolate and the eats. He ordered the hot chocolate and a sandwich, he paid and turned around and scanned the small room.
The usuals were here, some kids from the high school, some of his old friends from back in high school that were visiting family from college he talked to them yesterday he didn't want to talk to them today. He shrugged as he sighed walking to an empty table, and sat down. He looked straight forward, there was a girl there he hadn't seen before she was very attractive but instead of talking to her he took a bite of his sandwich maybe she didn't want to talk.

Artemis' eyes flicked to the door as she saw someone come in. He looked different to the other people in there. Smelt different too. Her muscles tensed, ready to fight is she had to. She looked back down at her coffee, watching the man out of the corner of her eye.

Axel took a sip of coffee, the smell over powering in the small space but when he set the cup down on the table he smelled something. His nostrils flared a bit as he exhaled the scent, he knew that scent a little too well it was that of a vampire and it seemed to be coming off of the girl sitting at the table in front of him. He took another sip of coffee his eyes locked on her.

Artemis glanced back at him to see him watching her. She let her lips drop apart, showing very subtly her sharp, ivory canine teeth. They weren't so obvious that anyone else would see them but she kept her eyes on him, knowing the small gesture would provoke a reaction if he was, as she believed, a werewolf.

Axel wasn't surprised when she smiled that she revealed two sharp teeth, he just glared at her and gripped his coffee cup tighter breathing in and out sharply as to not lose his temper in this place, with so many humans around. Nostrils flared Axel continued to drink his coffee all the while trying to control his urge to rip her throat out, vampires weren't welcomed here in this town not when he was around. So he watched her very carefully while not making it obvious that he was angry.

Artemis smirked, seeing the tendans in his hand tighten as he gripped his cup. She was right, he was a werewolf. She glanced around the coffee shop. There were far to many humans around to even think about fighting. Still, if she waited, stood her ground, maybe she could follow him, perhaps into a dark alley. The corners of her mouth twitched in a small smile. Artemis loved a fight. She was old, strong and experienced, and she knew how to use her power to the best of her ability. If it came to a showdown, she'd definatey be able to hold her ground. Judging from the size of him, the were wouldn't make too big a wolf.
